About me

I’m Emma, a trauma-trained counsellor and somatic practitioner based on the Somerset–Wiltshire border, near Frome, Westbury and Warminster.

I work with adults and teens (15+) who are navigating emotional, relational or developmental challenges, and are looking for a space that feels steady, respectful and not overwhelming.

What it’s like to work with me

Clients often describe sessions as calm, grounded and unhurried.

I pay close attention to what’s happening in the room, not just what’s being said, but how things are felt and experienced moment to moment.

There’s no expectation to have the right words, explain everything clearly or push yourself beyond what feels manageable.

We go at a pace that allows things to unfold rather than forcing change.

About Me.

My approach

My work is shaped by trauma training and somatic approaches, alongside ongoing learning in neurodiversity.

Rather than focusing only on talking, I pay attention to patterns, responses and the way experiences are held.

I aim to offer a space where you can begin to notice things differently, without pressure or judgement.

Neurodivergent understanding

I bring both professional training and lived understanding of neurodiversity.

I’m aware of how overwhelming, confusing or exhausting things can feel, especially when you’ve had to adapt to environments that don’t quite fit.

Sessions can be shaped in a way that works for you, rather than expecting you to fit into a particular structure.

A bit about me

Outside of the counselling room, I enjoy CrossFit and yoga, which deepen my appreciation of the connection between the body and mind.

I also spend time walking my dog in the fields around Chapmanslade.

That lived connection to movement and regulation informs how I work. It’s not just about talking, but about learning to notice and respond to what your system is doing.
